I am proud and blessed to report that Luxury Street Meats was a financial failure and a massive overall success, and I regret to inform my fans of past that there will not be another.
Luxury Street Meats served its’ purpose- I started my own business, planned out an event then executed it. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I am a stronger and better form of myself because of it. The project fulfilled me in many ways: I challenged myself, was stressed about the execution, then executed. I had many friends come by to support me. I had some strangers tell me it was some of the best chicken they’ve ever had.
But I faced a stark reality- I cannot compete with the cute, old, plump Mexican women slinging tacos, cheesy quesadillas, and bacon wrapped hot dogs. They are the Yin to the “go out in the Marina and drink” Yang. I can’t compete against them, nor do I want to. They are a miracle of nature, something to be admired, not replicated. I will surely find my place somewhere, somehow, most certianly, eventually.
Lots of love, XOXO, Ryan
